Mixed media tag using burlap ribbon - DT daksha

Hello friends!
This is my final post for Nakshathra my term getting over this month. It was a great experience working with Akshma and all Nakshathra design team members.
As this month we are showcasing Burlap ribbons...I have made a mixed media tag using this ribbon in my project. For the base of my tag I have used thick black cardstock..on that I layered with corrugated paper ,burlap ribbon MDF pieces, buttons ,flowers...etc. Then I covered the whole tag with black gesso..Finally used metallic acrylic colors in shades of blue, green and pink , used  inka gold colors and then gave final layers using Art alchemy metallique wax ..aged brass...and my  beautiful tag is ready..Hope you all like my project in mixed media. thank you .

CrafTreat baby girl album

Hello friends!
This is my guest designing post for CrafTreat ..using cute cuddly baby girl paper pack by CrafTreat..thank you Priya Shivraj for sending this..n keeping patience with me as it took bit a long I wasn't well.. anyway let's talk about this album's a 9"x9" album which can fit more then 130 ..6"x4" size pictures..and this album covers baby's first year.. memories...
I made this album very I wanted to fit 6"x4" size pictures and that also more pictures.. with lot of space for journaling..n wanted very neat  n clean look. It got 6 double sided pages with flips n folds and six pockets .. to fit big size pictures or journaling..
Let me talk about this I really love this paper covers baby's 12 months with all image details for each months with lots of extra images which we can use to decorate our album. I love this album n paper pack so much that I have already bought baby boy pack to make one album for baby boy.

MDF pen/pencil stand - DT Daksha

Hello! crafty friends,
As you all know this month we are promoting projects on Burlap for today's post I have made a MDF pen / pencil stand...where I have used Nakshathra designz  burlap ribbon...,priceless treasures ..the childhood memories  pattern papers    and images from that same pattern paper to decorate my pen /pencil stand.

* Firstly I  have prepared MDf stand by scrubbing with sand paper and gave two coats of black gesso.
*then took pattern paper according to the size of four side of the stand  and stuck them with modge podge.
* Used Red burlap ribbon at the bottom part of the stand with hot glue.
* images I fussy cut from the same paper pack and stuck on the  black card stock and I did fussy cutting again leaving little black boarder.
* Finally decorated using foam dots, black rhinestone lace and a stamped sentiment.

MDF name plate - DT Daksha

Hello! Friends,
This month Nakshathra Designz  have come up with beautiful burlap ribbons in variety of colors in plain and with white lace.

Today's my project  is  using this burlap ribbon... I have made a name plate on MDF base...where I have used the Burlap ribbon.

* first I have applied modge podge n stick the pattrn paper ...leaving 1/8 th inch from all side n corner rounded using corner rounding punch.
* then I have applied hot glue n stick the burlap ribbon in required place.
* For name Alpha I have used DCAM alpha die...on which I have used glossy accent.
*In two  corners I have used stencil and embossing paste and sprinkled some glitter ..then heat embossed
* For flowers I have used Itsy Bitsy handmade flowers from my stash.
* that tiny cute butterflies from RRB papers... which I have distressed and used glossy accent and glitter.
* finally decorated using metal charm, rhinestone lace etc... from my stash.

Inspirations for CrafTreat stencils- guest designing post

Hello! Everyone,
This is my GDT post for the creatreat blog....By now you all must be knowing that Priya Shivraj of the Craftshop has come up with their CrafTreat brand of stencils and pattern paper packs and  some other craft stuff...check here
I got three stencils and a 12"x 12" cute baby pattern paper pack in my GDT kit.(on baby theme papers Iam still working,so it will be in my next post)

Today's post features stencil technique cards along with some stamping and water Coloring...(I have made matching envelopes with that.)

CrafTreat stencils:

* size of these stencils are perfect for background making in cards, layouts etc.
*Quality wise also very good as I did not face any problem in using and it didn't damage or cut my sponge applicators..or daubers.
* stencil Designs are very pretty n new.. specially two step stencils.
*Designs came out perfect crisp after stenciling.
*It doesn't get stained ....just baby wipe was good enough to clean.

Tri-fold mini album - DT Daksha

Today I have used priceless treasures-childhood memories.... pattern papers of Nakshathra designs and made a tri-fold mini album..which we can make it from single sheet of card stock of 12"x12". For front and back of my mini album I have used chipboard and a ribbon is the pictorial view

Love theme waterfall card: DT Daksha

Hello! Friends
Hope you all doing am here with  a very pretty love theme waterfall card..using Nakshathra designs papers. This paper pack got lovely love theme design n sentiment page..we at Nakshathra blog have many lovely projects using this paper pack.
This is a normal 4.5" x5.5" card with waterfall pages inside..with lovely love theme sentiments on each page n you can stick photos on each's embellished with  stamped sentiments,  MDF, rhinestones.. mulberry flowers ..etc. here is the pictorial view n video to see in details

Layouts with itsy bitsy handmade flowers -GDT post-Daksha
Hello! Crafty friends,
Today I am posting two layouts as a GDT post for Itsy bitsy..but before that first I want to say thank you to Rashmi and Anitha of Itsy bitsy for sending me beautiful flower kits. When I saw that flower kits.. I immediately thought of using that in here Iam.. I have made two layouts keeping in for my daughter and one for my son.

Layout for my daughter:

Clear crackle Texture effect

#1. For the base of the layout I have used 12"x12"thick chipboard
#2. Then I have covered the chipboard with Lemon crafty scrapbooking paper (house of roses).
#3. I have used clear crackle texture paste and stencil to give textures on three corner sides.
#4. For my main layout base I have used MS punch boarder cream colour cardstock in 6.75"x8.50". On that I again layered with pattern papers in different styles with distress edges and distress with vintage photo distress ink. Used cheery Lynn doily cut in half and used on side and top with distress edges.
#5. In centre I have used square MDF frame which I have covered with cosmic glitter shimmers. I have used vintage photo of a little girl in the middle of the frame.
#6 . To decorate my layout I have used itsy bitsy little birdie papercrafting medley handmade flowers,linen paper handmade roses. I love this flower kits as everything like MDF,jute doily,small flowers, flower sprays,leaves,spiral wire pollens etc . included in this kit.
#7. Finally decorated using laces, pearls,glass charms,metal charms,resin Angels,stamped butterflies and stamp sentiments from my stash.
#8. For 'smile' I have used 4 layers of  black diecuts which I have stuck together to give thick MDF look.

#1. I have used 12"x12"thick chipboard for my base. Then covered that with eno greetings Retroseries pattern paper.
#2. I have used two layers of pattern papers one light at the base and dark one on the top...did little distressing in few places.
#3. Then I have used texture paste with stencil to give texture looks in three sides.
#4. In left-hand side I have used from top to bottom lace and pattern paper.
#5. For main centre layout I have used pattern paper with distress edges and distress with vintage photo distress ink. Used MDF included in the flowers kit... which I have heat embossed with white glitter embossing powder and used a vintage photo of a boy.
#6. To decorate my layout I have used spellbinders doily diecuts, flowers from Itsy bitsys little birdie papercrafting medley handmade flowers, stamped and glittered butterflies,pearls,metal charms,MDF, stamped and layered sentiments.
#7. For all the MDF used in this layout I have heat embossed using white glitter embossing powder.
